In very basic terms I totally respect your personal information and will only ask you for the information I really need from you to provide you with my service. I will look after it in the same way I would want my own looking after, keeping it secure and not sharing it with anyone else unless doing so is necessary to provide the service you have hired me for.

INTRODUCTION
Puffin Valley Limited takes your privacy very seriously. This privacy policy has been prepared in line with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which promotes fairness and transparency for all individuals in respect of their personal data. This privacy policy applies to all data we process, and by using Puffin Valley Limited you consent to our collection and use of such data.

As a data controller I collect a variety of data in order to deliver my services, and I will
manage your personal data transparently, fairly and securely. Over the course of working with you, I will ask you to provide me with the following data:

HOW I USE COLLECTED DATA
I use the above data to deliver my service to you in a manner you would reasonably expect. I will use your name to address you in person and in any correspondence. I will use your phone number to call or text you, for example to discuss your requirements for your business. I’ll use your email address to email you with information you have requested. I will use your business address to attend meetings and visit your site where necessary to support my role.

I collect this data on in order to fulfil my contract with you.

COOKIES
When you visit my website, it collects Cookies. These are small pieces of data that
websites send to a user’s computer and are stored on the user’s web browser. They are
designed to enable the website to remember information, such as what a user might have
put in a shopping cart for example. This helps improve your user experience on the website.

2. WHICH THIRD PARTIES DO I SHARE PERSONAL DATA WITH?
I share personal data with the following third parties:

Website – my website is created with WordPress. When you contact me via the contact forms on my website the data you provide is stored on their servers. They are GDPR compliant and you can view their privacy policy here: https://en-gb.wordpress.org/about/privacy/ WordPress has servers all over the world, including Europe and the US, as well as back up servers, so your data may be transferred outside of the European Economic Area.

Gmail – My email is hosted by Google and is stored on their servers. They are GDPR compliant and you can view their privacy policy here: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en Data may be transferred outside of the European Economic Area to United States under the protection of EU/US Privacy Shield.

There are also certain situations in which we may share access to your personal data without your explicit consent; for example, if required by law, to protect the life of an individual, or to comply with any valid legal process, government request, rule or regulation.

WHY DO I SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH THE ABOVE?
I share your data in order to deliver my service to you – it’s that simple.

3. HOW DO I STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

I keep your data secure by using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology when information is submitted online (that’s what the https means at the start of my URL).

My computers, back up drives and email accounts are all secured with secure passwords and kept in my home which has secure locks on all doors and windows.

In the unlikely event of a criminal breach of my security I will inform the relevant regulatory body within 72 hours and, if your personal data were involved in the breach, I will also inform you.

4. CONSENT
DISPLAY OF IMAGES
There will be times I would like to take photos of training sessions or on site work that I conduct. The taking of and use of any material will be discussed directly with the client and approved prior to any photography.

WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT
I do understand there may be circumstances in which you may no longer want your images to appear online. You may withdraw consent for an image in which you or your business appear. The process for this is to contact me via email at [email protected] or by calling 07736 088746. Persuant to the request, I will then remove the photo from online and printed display wheresoever it appears.

5. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY AND CONTROL
I may change this privacy policy from time to time. When I do, I will let you know
by changing the date on this policy, notifying customers of only significant changes. By continuing to access or use my services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised privacy policy.

• The right of access to your personal data and any supplementary information
• The right to have any errors in your personal data rectified

While I do not hold personal data any longer than I need to. The duration will depend
on your relationship with me, and whether it is ongoing. I may keep some of your
personal data for up to 7 years after my working contract with you has finished for Tax legislation purposes.
